Recipes Turkey Chili
Jim’s Own Turkey Three Bean Chili
Using lean ground turkey gives us a delicious low-fat meal and as an option you can add beans to it to make a wonderful high fiber meal that could be served in tacos or burritos with all the trimmings.
Ingredients
2 pounds lean ground turkey or beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans, undrained
1 can cannellini beans or white kidney beans
1 can pinto beans, undrained
1 cup Jim’s Own Sauce Mild, Smokey or Hot
3 tbsp Jim’s Own Rub Mild
1 package frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
Directions
Brown turkey in a pot on med-high heat with chopped onion until thoroughly cooked through.
Drain fat.
Add in all remaining ingredients.
Bring to a low boil, stirring frequently. If chili thickens too quickly, add a bit of water.
Cover and reduce heat to a simmer for 30 minutes. Continue to stir frequently.
Serve chili over cooked rice or chili.
You can also be served it over cooked hot dogs or sausage!
