Recipe Beef Ribs
Jim’s Own Teriyaki Style Beef Ribs and Beans
Crock pot cooking does not brown food, so we broiled the ribs for extra flavor before adding them to the crockpot. Even though this is so simple to make it is definitely worthy of a special occasion.
Servings: 8
Ingredients
2 (16 oz.) cans pinto beans, drained
4 pounds beef ribs trimmed excess fat & cut into single ribs
2 Tbs. Jim’s Own Mild or Smokey Rub
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) bottle Jim’s Own Smokey sauce
4 oz. low sodium soy sauce
Directions
Place beans in a 5-quart crock pot and set aside.
Sprinkle ribs with Jim’s Own Rub. Place ribs on a broiling pan.
Broil 5 1/2 inches from heat 18 to 20 minutes or until browned, turning once. Add ribs to slow cooker, and sprinkle with onion.
Combine Jim’s Own Sauce Smokey and soy sauce. Pour ¾ of sauce mix over the ribs and stir gently.
Cover and cook at HIGH 5 to 6 hours or at LOW 9 to 10 hours. We turned the ribs halfway through the cooking process.
Remove ribs and drain bean mixture, reserving the sauce. Next skim the fat from the reserved sauce.
Arrange ribs over bean mixture.
Mix ¼ of Jim’s Own and soy sauce mix set aside before cooking with reserved cooking sauce and pour back over ribs.
Serve and enjoy!
