Pulled Pork Pizza with Peach Salsa
Pizza is a huge favorite in our house and on Friday nights this has become one of our favorite meals. Sometimes we will put a variety of toppings out and everyone make their own. Our Smokey Sauce makes a great pizza sauce for pulled pork. Pile on the grated cheese and bake it in the oven.
For 2 medium sized pizzas
Ingredients
1 bag store bought pizza dough
4 tbsp Jim’s Own Sauce Smokey
2 cups pulled pork – recipe here
2 cups grated cheese – We like mozzarella and gruyere.
Peach salsa – recipe here
Instructions
Make the pulled pork the previous day.
Make the salsa and refrigerate until pizza is cooked.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees or to temp indicated on the pizza dough.
Dust working area with a little flour. Divide pizza dough in 2 portions. Roll out pizza dough to desired thickness and use your fingers to stretch it a little in a well-oiled baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread some Jim’s Own Sauce on the dough, followed by shredded pork and cheese.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until cheese is bubbly, and the crust is slightly brown.
Serve with peach salsa.
