Canadian Steak Oven Roast
Jim’s Own Canadian Steak Seasoning is a wonderfully flavorful addition to a simple oven roast.
3 LB RUMP ROAST
2 TB BUTTER
JIM’S OWN CANADIAN STEAK SEASONING
1 CUP BEEF BROTH
Allow the roast to come to room temperature before cooking (about 30-40 minutes). This allows for more even cooking.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Melt butter in a heavy roasting pan or Dutch oven over med-high heat. Sear the roast on all sides to form a beautiful brown coating all over.
Remove the roast an coat all over with Jim’s Own Canadian Steak Seasoning. Return to pan and add the beef broth.
Cover and roast for 3 hours, adding or subtracting time if your roast is smaller or larger.
Allow roast to rest 10 minutes before carving.
